Architect Jochen Ziegler has designed and build Fjordhaus holiday home based on the ideas behind his own house, which is situated in Bad Dürkheim.

The use of wood as a main material provides the interior of the house with a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. The furniture (beds, tables and storage) has been designed as well as built by the architect personally. This contributes to a continuous style and the quality of simplicity running throughout the building.

The jury of the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Architects decided that the Fjordhaus was presented in June 2017.

 

Anne Thieme, wife of Ziegler, also an architect, is responsible for the rental of Fjordhaus and is happy to answer any further questions and enquiries about the house itself or the surrounding area.

Asides from ourselves, we have help in the local area and someone can be available at short notice if necessary.

 

During our time in the area, we both fell in love with this part of Germany and had been searching far and wide for a perfect location. We found that spot some time ago and within a few short years have built our dream, Fjordhaus. We´d now like others to experience what we feel about the area.

The Schlei region is familiar territory for Anne Thieme, who herself was born in Hamburg.
